Level 1 and 2 Certification Training

Advance your floral design skills and experience TSFA's Level 1 and Level 2 Floral Certification workshops designed specifically for teachers. Complete the same hands-on certification exams as your students and receive evaluations, giving you valuable insight into the certification experience. Element of the Month — Balance

Balance is the principle of design that creates a sense of stability and equilibrium in a floral arrangement, both physically and visually.

Physical balance — This ensures the arrangement is structurally stable and able to stand or be carried without tipping.
Visual balance — This creates the impression that the design's visual weight is evenly distributed.

Balance may be symmetrical, with similar materials arranged on each side of a central axis, or asymmetrical, where different elements are carefully placed to achieve equal visual weight.
